STEM FOCUS LEARNING

Frontier Schools implements a well-defined curriculum, supported by research-based best practices and proven resources that align with Missouri Learning Standards (MLS). Students participate in inquiry-based and problem solving opportunities, with a strong emphasis on mathematics and science that prepare them not only for future grade levels, but also success in the real world. Our curriculum builds on each child’s fundamentals so they are learning challenging, yet grade appropriate content.

 

With a STEM focus, our high schools use state-of-the-art practices to develop students’ skills in science and technology and to prepare students for fast growing career fields in a global 21st century economy. Rigorous class choices in our high school curriculum focus on science, technology, math, and engineering. Challenging coursework prepares students to excel and graduate ready to enter today’s competitive workforce or to pursue a college degree.

STEM ROCKET TEAM

Students at Frontier STEM High School have been designing rockets at their STEM center. On December 15th, they made their first launch. The rocket was designed to launch and come back in two pieces by deploying a parachute in the air.

 

STEM SOLAR CAR PROJECT
Students at Frontier STEM High School are using scientific know-how, creative thinking, experimentation, and teamwork to design and build a high-performance model solar vehicle.
