Incredible Success at VEX IQ State Championship in Reeds Spring!

This past weekend, our robotics teams showcased their talent and determination at the VEX IQ State Championship in Reeds Spring. Competing in over 100 matches, all six of our teams demonstrated remarkable skill, resilience, and teamwork—overcoming obstacles such as malfunctioning robots and other unexpected challenges.

 

Team Highlights

  • Team 243A: This team delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 82 in their final match, which resulted in a tie. In an electrifying rematch, they secured an incredible score of 108, earning the title of Missouri VEX IQ Elementary Champions! Additionally, they won both the Design Award and the Teamwork Championship Award, qualifying for the World Championship in Dallas on May 12-14.

  • Team 243D: This team set an early high score of 69 in the finals, which remained unbeaten until the last two matches. They also earned the Energy Award for their efforts!

  • Team 243B: Finished an impressive 6th place in the state and performed strongly in the finals.

  • Team 243E: Competed in the more challenging Middle School Division, securing 8th place in the state and 4th place in the MS finals.

  • Team 243F: This young team showed incredible promise, previously winning a state championship. They reached the finals once again and finished 4th in the Elementary School finals.

  • Team 243C: Overcame numerous challenges to secure 15th place in the state. Their dedication and teamwork were evident in every match.

     

Throughout the competition, students experienced a rollercoaster of emotions—navigating both excitement and pressure. Yet, their perseverance made every challenge worthwhile.

While Team 243A has already qualified for the World Championship, we are still awaiting additional invitations due to the high rankings of our other teams. We remain hopeful and continue to send positive energy for more opportunities for our students to showcase their skills on the world stage!
