This past weekend was an exciting and memorable one for our robotics teams as they competed in the Missouri State Championship for the elementary and middle school divisions of VEX IQ Robotics.
On Saturday, the elementary division championship took place, and four of our teams were invited to compete. We are proud to share that TechTigers (243A) earned the title of Missouri State Champion, an incredible accomplishment that highlights their hard work, teamwork, and dedication throughout the season.
TechTigers had an outstanding performance and received several top honors, including the Excellence Award, the Teamwork Champion Award, and the Robot Skills Champion Award. Both the Excellence Award and Teamwork Champion Award qualify the team for the VEX IQ World Championship, making this achievement even more special.
Another one of our elementary teams, Duckies (243F), also had a strong showing and was recognized with the Design Award for their thoughtful engineering process and robot design.
It was an exciting day of competition for all of our teams. Mechaminds (243K) advanced all the way to the finals, demonstrating excellent strategy and teamwork, while Starteam (243G) improved their driving score and showed great progress during the event. The day was filled with learning, collaboration, and plenty of memorable moments for everyone involved.
The excitement continued on Sunday when our middle school robotics teams took the competition floor. Queens (243C) had an impressive performance and advanced to the finals, competing at a very high level throughout the day. TechnoMinds and Cuddle Crew (243D) also showed outstanding effort, determination, and teamwork during their matches.
In addition to their strong performances, the middle school teams brought home two awards. Queens received the Design Award, while Cuddle Crew earned the Innovate Award, recognizing their creativity and problem-solving in robot design.
We are incredibly proud of all of our robotics teams for their dedication, teamwork, and perseverance. Their accomplishments not only reflect their talent and hard work but also represent our school with excellence at the state level. Congratulations to all of our students and coaches on an amazing weekend of robotics competition!
